"It was a tiring yet really fun week of dance and performance work shops", explains one elated pupil of Flipside Dance's recent Summer School.

Held at ACS International School in Cobham at the end of August, the 5-day course was packed with dance classes of all different genres and styles, including Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary and Musical Theatre, whilst there were also the very popular and more diverse drama and circus skills workshops, all of which were delivered by fully qualified, specialist instructors.

The course culminated on the Friday afternoon with a wonderful showcase performance for family and friends to enjoy, demonstrating all that had been learnt throughout the week. Each child participated in 5 full dances and an impressive Hip Hop Funk opening number, the most experienced of those learning a brand new Hip Hop trick, the 'Flipside Fly'.

"All students gave their all and put on a wonderful performance," explains Deborah Rich, Course Leader and Director of Flipside Dance. "I was particularly delighted with Ellie Bennett, Brittni Miller and our youngest pupils Alicia Cordero and Charlotte McGregor who really excelled in what was a very challenging week."

Parents added their praise for the course by saying how well organised the summer school had been and that it was a great way to introduce a child to the range of different dance styles available, whilst making lots of new likeminded friends!
