What will it involve?

If you enjoy dance and want to experience new skills then Flipside Dance Summer School will give you the opportunity to experience a week packed full of different dance styles including, Jazz, Hip Hop/street, Salsa, Contemporary, stomp/tap, Bollywood, Drama and Musical Theatre.

Our specialist instructors, led by Deborah Rich, are all fully qualified and CRB checked and are from all different dance backgrounds. Their aim is to encourage new skills and introduce new steps from a wide range of dance styles.

At the end of the week all course participants will take part in our very special showcase presentation. Performing for your parents, family and friends, the showcase is intended to demonstrate all the hard work that has been put in throughout the week.

Is it for me?

The week is offered to individuals from the age of 7, with dance experience, but all levels are welcome.
From the information provided on the registration form, students will then be allocated into classes according to their age and level of dance experience. Therefore we request that you are as accurate as possible when completing the form, in order to ensure your child is put into the correct group.

Our meeting point is at the Old Gym in the Mezzanine.

What time is it?

Each day starts with registration at 8.45am and finishes at 4.15pm.
The showcase performance is at 3pm on Friday 24th August.

Do I need lunch?

Lunch is not provided therefore please ensure your child brings their own packed lunch with them each day. Complimentary snacks and drinks will be available within break times throughout each day.

How much will the week cost?

Non Flipside Dance Students £210.00
Flipside Dance Term Time Students £190.00

Family and group booking discounts are available on request.

Due to its popularity, early booking for this course is essential and all payments must be made by 10th August 2012 in order to secure a place.
The above cost includes:

• Full weeks professional training
• Summer School T-shirt
• CD of the music used throughout the week
• DVD of the showcase performance
• Snacks and drinks throughout each day

What should I wear?

Students should wear their Summer School T-shirt each day. A complimentary T-shirt will be given to each student at the first registration, whilst additional t-shirts will be available for purchase at £10.00 each at the beginning of the week.

With their Summer School T-shirt, loose comfortable bottoms or leggings are to be worn. Jeans or shorts are not permitted.

As for footwear, students should wear dance shoes if they have them or clean trainers. Please be aware that in some classes students will also dance in bare feet.
