debs-rich100‘Deb’s’ as she likes to be called started dancing at the age of three doing jazz and tap, then started contemporary and ballet at the age of twelve when she joined the ‘Ribz’ Dance Company and Scottish Youth Ballet. Deb’s commenced her full time training at the Northern Contemporary School in Scotland where she was lucky enough to work with Wayne McGregor ‘Random Dance Company’. Deb's was then offered a place within the performing arts degree course at London Contemporary 'The Place Theatre'.

Deb’s went on to dance in the Mark Morris’s contemporary rendition of 'The Nutcracker' The Hard Nut at the Festival Theatre Edinburgh, Cinderella at the Kings Edinburgh. Deb’s was also lucky enough to work with the choreographers from Stomp, and workshop with the cast of Cats and 'Beauty and the Beast' Dominion Theatre London..

As well as dancing on cruise ships, Deb’s was a member of the 'High Society Ballet' in Portugal and while living and performing out there she joined Lisbon Street Dance Crew. When returning to London Debs worked as a backing dancer for Steps, Kylie Minogue as well as choreographing for both Liberty X and Danni Minouge.

Debs main passion now is Street dance/Hip Hop. She has had success over the years competing in the Brixton Hip Hop Championships, but has now hung up her performing shoes and is teaching and choreographing full time.  Debs has been one of the main choreographers for Surrey Youth Ballet and the Varsity Dance Coach at the International School ACS Cobham for the last four years.  Her dance crew have been champions for the last three years at the UK Hip Hop Championships, within the team section.

Over the years Deb’s has taught at some fantastic Performing Arts Schools including Dance Attic, London Studios and Dance Works and choreographed some great shows and grown to love teaching, that is why four years ago she brought Flipside to life and is now happy to have her own flourishing dance school in Surrey.
