Tamsyn started dancing at the age of 3 at her local ballet school, and performing at the age of 7 in pantomimes and musicals. She trained and qualified as a ballet teacher for the BBO, and as a tap and modern teacher for ISTD in Somerset, before moving to London to go to the Dance Theatre Academy for 3 years of dance and musical theatre training. Since leaving there (many years ago!) she has worked as a performer in dance companies, West End musical theatre, and cabaret, and as a recording backing vocalist. She currently performs as one half of the internationally renowned cabaret duo The Kitsch Kittens. Since leaving DTA she has also worked as a choreographer and movement director for stage and television including working off Broadway last year on the new musical based on the short stories by Woody Allen, ‘Murder Mystery Blues’. Tamsyn has worked from a mountaintop in the Falklands to the Royal Opera House in London, with artists as diverse as Joe Pasquale, Ant and Dec, and Will Young.
Tamsyn has been a jazz dance teacher at the Dance Attic Studios in London for many years and has taught as a ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary dance teacher in schools such as the BRIT school, GSA and London Contemporary Dance School. She also specialises as a CanCan choreographer and lecturer, teaching at places such as Bristol University and the International Workshop Company. Youth workshops have included High School Musical, Annie, Hannah Montanna and Bugsy.
